Introduction to ZTE Alumni Association

Long ago, the late Dato’ Tan Ren Hua hoped to establish a Chung Hsing Alumni Association. After many attempts, he failed to successfully establish a Chung Hsing Alumni Association. After the first class reunion (Form 3, 1979 – Form 5, 1981) in December 2013, Dr. Huang Liming once again proposed to establish an alumni association to give back to his alma mater. Everyone’s enthusiasm was rekindled and they decided to call on alumni to establish an alumni association.

With the support of Liu Qingjia, the then chairman of Chung Hsing High School and president of Sibu Xinghua Putian Association, a preparatory committee headed by Lin Chunquan was established. With the assistance of Kapitan Xiao Aiqin, the accountant, the approval of the Registrar of Societies was obtained on April 4, 2014. The

Alumni Association held its first special general meeting on July 6, 2014, and elected the first board of directors and held the inauguration ceremony at the Jingmu Hotel on September 6, 2014. Alumni Lin Chunquan was elected as the first chairman.

After being elected, Chairman Lin Chunquan called on everyone to work together and cooperate with each other to do a good job in the association. He also hoped that more students from Zhongxing Middle School would join as members to give back to their alma mater, so as to strengthen the team and make contributions to their alma mater. In

March 2015, under the initiative of our chairman , Mr. Lin Chunquan, and his fellow directors, our association kept pace with the times and entered the computerization operation. At the same time, we set up our own website. In addition, we also used computerization and systematization strategies to revise our historical data and put it on the cloud, so as to lay a major foundation for the future development of our association. The computerized administrative operations of our association will play an unprecedented and comprehensive reform. All future communications will be released using a super-fast and highly efficient computer short message system, gradually abandoning the old method of traditional letter delivery. In addition, our association will gradually adopt cloud computer technology to process and store all member information, and gradually replace the traditional membership book records. With the implementation of the computerization plan, it also means that the Association has begun to move towards another milestone in the new era. It has also opened up the Association’s development concept and goal of gradually becoming more systematic and younger. We hope that this plan can inject a new atmosphere into the Association and bring it to the forefront of the times.
